CAMPUS SUMMARY
Emily Griffith Technical College is Colorado's largest public technical college, located in the heart of Denver. Founded in 1916 by Emily Griffith, we still use the motto coined by Emily Griffith herself: For all who wish to learn. Our mission is to prepare our students for today's workforce and tomorrow's opportunities and EGTC welcomes all people, regardless of age, race or education level, who want to expand their horizons and chart their own course for success. We offer superior education at lower prices with small classes and hands-on learning in applied education. We offer an extensive curriculum including nearly 30 career training certificate programs, 14 apprenticeship programs and GED and English Language classes. Most programs can be completed in one year and there are multiple start dates throughout the year. We have established our reputation for being one of the region's most diverse learning environments. Since our inception we've assisted nearly 2 million students, most of whom can graduate debt-free.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Most career certificates can be earned in less than one year at EGTC and there are often several start dates throughout the year. Many faculty have real world experience and classes are small. Many programs offer internships which provide students the opportunity to get valuable work experience in their field. Up to 45 credits from EGTC may transfer to a Colorado Community College towards and Associates of Applied Science degree.
